Intake is an AI-powered conversational intake platform that replaces static forms with natural, guided conversations. Instead of presenting clients with a long list of fields to fill out, Intake uses an intelligent agent to ask questions one at a time, follow up for clarity, and gather richer information than any traditional form could.
You start by designing a template in the Template Designer, which defines the sections, questions, and personality of your intake agent. Once published, you share a unique link with your client. They open the link in their browser — no login required — and have a natural conversation with the AI, which guides them through each section of your intake. You receive a structured summary of everything they shared.
Intake is built for any professional who needs to collect detailed information from clients before starting work. This includes lawyers, consultants, therapists, healthcare providers, financial advisors, agencies, and freelancers. If you currently send onboarding questionnaires, intake forms, or discovery documents, Intake can replace them with something your clients will actually enjoy completing.
Traditional form builders present every question at once and treat each field in isolation. Intake conducts a real conversation — it asks follow-up questions when answers are vague, skips irrelevant sections based on prior responses, and adapts its tone to your brand. Yes. Intake offers a free tier that includes a generous number of intakes per month so you can experience the full platform before committing. No credit card is required to sign up, and you get access to all core features including the Template Designer, file uploads, and branded intake links.
If you reach your plan's monthly intake limit, you can purchase additional intakes individually at a low per-intake rate. Your existing templates and links remain active, so there is never a disruption to your clients. You can also upgrade your plan at any time to increase your monthly allocation.
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time with no cancellation fees or penalties. When you cancel, your account remains active through the end of your current billing period. Your templates and historical intake data stay accessible so you never lose information you have already collected.
Yes, annual billing is available at a discounted rate compared to monthly billing. Choosing annual billing saves you roughly 20% over the course of the year. You can switch between monthly and annual billing from your account settings at any time.

All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest in our database. Intake is hosted on enterprise-grade infrastructure through Vercel and Supabase, both of which maintain SOC 2 compliance. Access controls ensure that only you and your authorized team members can view intake submissions for your organization.
Yes, conversation transcripts and structured summaries are stored securely so you can review them at any time from your dashboard. Data is retained for the duration of your account. You have full control over your data and can delete individual submissions or entire templates whenever you choose.
Intake is not yet HIPAA certified, but we are actively working toward compliance for healthcare providers. Our infrastructure partners support HIPAA-eligible configurations. If you are in the healthcare space and need HIPAA compliance, please contact us to discuss your requirements and timeline.
Yes. You have full control over all data collected through your intakes. You can delete individual submissions, entire conversation histories, or uploaded files at any time from your dashboard. Deletion is permanent and removes the data from our systems, helping you stay compliant with data retention policies and client requests.

Intake supports a wide range of file formats including PDF, DOCX, XLSX, CSV, plain text files, and common image formats like PNG, JPG, and WebP. Uploaded files are parsed and analyzed by the AI so their content can be used in the conversation. Maximum file size is 10 MB per upload.
Yes. Every intake submission includes a structured summary that you can view on your dashboard. You can copy the full summary or individual sections directly from the interface. We are actively building additional export options including CSV and PDF downloads for bulk data management.
No. Clients access their intake through a simple link — no account creation, no login, no passwords. This zero-friction approach is one of the key reasons Intake achieves higher completion rates than traditional forms. Clients simply open the link and start their conversation immediately.
Intake works in all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge on both desktop and mobile devices. The conversational interface is fully responsive and optimized for mobile, so your clients can complete their intake from any device without installing anything.
