Legal Client Intake

Client intake built for law firms

Replace the paper packet with a conversational agent that collects conflict check data, retainer documents, and case details through natural dialogue. Your client talks. You get structured, complete information before the first meeting.

The Problem

Legal intake hasn't changed in decades. Your clients notice.

Most firms still hand new clients a stack of paper or a PDF to print. The result: incomplete data, delayed conflict checks, and a first impression that undermines the professionalism you've built.

Lengthy paper intake packets

New clients receive 8-12 page packets they fill out in the lobby or lose at home. Half come back incomplete. Staff spend the first meeting asking the same questions the form already covered.

Conflict check delays

You can't run a proper conflict check until you have names, relationships, and opposing parties. Incomplete intake forms force paralegals to chase this information before the attorney can even evaluate the case.

The document chase

Retainer agreements, ID copies, prior court orders, insurance declarations. You need them before the first real meeting, but clients forget, send the wrong version, or email them one at a time over weeks.

A poor first impression

Your client's first experience with your firm is a clipboard and a ballpoint pen. For a profession built on trust and competence, a paper packet sends the wrong signal before you've said a word.

How Intake Solves It

One link. A complete, structured intake before the first meeting.

Structured conflict check data

The agent collects full names, relationships, opposing parties, affiliated entities, and prior representation in a structured format. Your conflict check runs on clean data, not handwriting.

In-conversation document collection

Clients upload retainer agreements, IDs, court documents, and supporting files right inside the conversation. No separate portal, no email attachments, no lost files.

Practice-area templates

Build intake templates tuned to your practice areas. Family law collects different information than personal injury. Immigration needs different documents than real estate. One firm, tailored intakes.

Auto-branded to your firm

Intake automatically themes the conversation to match your firm's colors and identity. Your client sees your brand, not ours. The experience feels like an extension of your practice.

Use Cases

Built for every practice area, every client type

New matter intake

Collect contact information, case summary, relevant dates, and expectations in a single guided conversation. Clients describe their situation in their own words while the agent ensures nothing is missed.

Conflict checks

Systematically gather every name, entity, and relationship needed for a thorough conflict search. The agent asks follow-up questions about related parties that static forms never surface.

Immigration questionnaires

Walk clients through complex immigration histories, employment records, travel logs, and family details. The conversational format handles the branching complexity that makes paper immigration forms so error-prone.

Personal injury case details

Capture accident circumstances, medical provider details, insurance information, and lost wages. Clients upload photos, police reports, and medical records during the same session.

Frequently Asked Questions

Legal intake, answered

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit via TLS and at rest. Intake runs on Supabase with row-level security, and uploaded documents are stored in isolated, access-controlled buckets. Your client data is never used to train AI models.

Intake collects structured data that supports your compliance workflows but does not itself certify bar compliance. The conversational agent ensures every required field is completed before submission, reducing the incomplete-intake problem that creates compliance gaps.

Clients can upload PDFs, Word documents (DOCX), images (JPG, PNG), and plain text files directly in the conversation. Intake automatically parses and extracts relevant information from uploaded documents, organizing it into the appropriate sections of your template.

Firms typically report saving 20-40 minutes per new matter. The conversational agent handles the back-and-forth of collecting complete information, eliminating the need for follow-up calls when forms come back incomplete or illegible.

Intake exports structured data as downloadable ZIP files with organized sections. While direct integrations with practice management platforms like Clio and MyCase are on our roadmap, the structured output format makes it straightforward to import data into any system that accepts structured text or CSV.
